Opening the venue for client rentals
Prepping any services for the morning (may include supplying alcoholic beverages)
Ensuring the property has remained clean from set up and suits the client’s needs
General supervision that the facility is maintained throughout the day (Lights are working properly, bathrooms are being maintained for cleanliness and supplies, addressing any property issues)
Greet and direct vendors (caterers, DJs, rentals, florists, etc.)
Checking in with clients throughout the day leading up to the event time
Directing guests if needed
Working with venue employees (bartenders, etc.) to assist with services or communication with the client
Light maintenance needs (bathrooms, general spills or messes that need tended to, assisting any vendors with property related matters)
Monitoring alcohol use (making sure no one is leaving or entering the property with alcohol)
Assist vendors and clients with property-related needs throughout the event
Oversee event wrap up and closing procedures for the facilities
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to gain experience in the event and wedding industry. Work hours are seasonal (April – November) and are primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. 2-3 Saturdays per month are required, but preference will be given to the candidate with the most availability and flexibility. An average shift for the Event Assistant is 8:30am-3pm or 4pm until 12:30am but can vary based on event.
